Inform: Advanced CAD and GIS Configuration

Starting with Inform CAD, you will learn how to creatively configure many portions of the software, from the new added features such as Sector behavior and call spawning to Response planning and creative ways to make it work for your dispatch center. Students will also receive training in the use of SQL specifically to the Inform CAD system. The CAD portion will be capped off with training on the tools used by the TriTech team to support the Inform CAD system and troubleshoot issues that may arise.

Following the Inform CAD portion of the class will be the Advanced GIS Training. This will begin with an overview of the GIS components of the system and the utilities used to maintain them as well as provide optimization and recommendations for the best performance of all GIS components in the system, including other file types that might enhance the user’s experience in GEO or Inform Mobile. This training will also include a primer on editing street data for the CAD system for those that want to dabble in the GIS editing world and end with advanced troubleshooting for the GIS components of the system.

In order to attend this class, the participant must:

  • Have basic ArcMap user training or experience
  • Completion of the GISLink Training Class and Inform CAD End User Training

 

 

Inform CAD, Mobile, RMS System Administration Training

The System Administration Training course provides an overall administrative perspective of the system including operating system and database management software and equipment components. This comprehensive 4.5 day course is held at TriTech headquarters, and trains System Administrators and staff members on how to set up and administer infrastructure configurations for the Client-configured Inform CAD, Mobile, and RMS Systems. The class will also provide attendees with sufficient skills to perform system maintenance, manage and monitor interfaces, manage system operation and database settings for application support, maintenance and backup, and general troubleshooting skills. 

NOTE: Friday is a half day, 8:30 am to Noon.

Course Syllabus

Class Requirements:
In order to attend this technical programming class, the participant must:

  • Have basic Windows and SQL server knowledge

For attendees that are not familiar with Microsoft SQL Server, this resource provides an introduction course to SQL. This is not mandatory, but may help understand the SQL portion of the course that will be covered. 

 

 

Inform: Advanced CAD and Mobile Configuration

This class provides hands-on training on advanced configurations and troubleshooting for Inform CAD and Mobile. You will learn how the configurations can be adjusted to maximize effectiveness of the software, and get introduced to advanced configurations and features that you may not have used on a day-to-day basis. You will learn more about creatively adjusting unit responses and troubleshooting unit recommendations. The Mobile section of the class covers advanced mobile system configuration including editing server scripts, basic JavaScript examples, and troubleshooting techniques.

Recommended Participants:
This class is recommended for CAD administrators and Advanced users that handle configuration, adoption of new modules, or response planning portions of CAD, as well as mobile administrators who want to learn more about modifying their mobile system.

 

Inform CAD API Training
$2,500/Participant | 3 Days

The API training offered by TriTech Software Systems is designed to provide guidance in the area of Inform CAD extensibility. Geared towards customers with significant programming experience, the API class material covers the use of TriTech published API components which have been code-named Raptor. Topics covered will include how to build custom PowerLine actions and writing your own external applications that interface with Inform CAD. The class participants will complete the training with an understanding of how to interface with the Inform CAD product and how to assess the risks associated with such development.

Note: The Raptor API does not currently support extensions to the Scheduled Call Taking Module.

Course Syllabus

Class Requirements:
In order to attend this technical programming class, the participant must:

  • Possess at least mid-level software coding skills
  • Experience in the programming language Microsoft Visual Basic or Microsoft Visual C#
  • Experience with the use of Inform CAD
  • Be comfortable doing the practice work in the classroom environment
  • Raptor API License Required:
    In order to utilize the Raptor API, the customer must purchase a license for the API.
